Maud St, Unley, a c.1880 cottage turned modern masterpiece.

Maintaining sympathy to the architecture of the original form, this Unley cottage was lovingly refurbished and extended into an emerging, compelling and functional space, with an exterior expression allowing natural light to bathe the home.

Designed and built by our in-house teams, the project draws on the existing heritage and takes you on a journey into an art deco inspired modern addition embracing the life and character of the clients, layered with texture, warmth and colour.

The extension features a stunning two-story glass facade and curved external walls that envelop a double-height void, highlighting a feature steel staircase. These elements fuse old charm with new elegance, creating a light-filled space that reflects the vibrant lives of its inhabitants.

Finished with high-quality materials like timber flooring and natural stone splashbacks, and accented by custom joinery and striking lighting, this home is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Our comprehensive approach included architectural design, interior detailing, custom joinery, and landscaping. We retained and restored key heritage elements like mouldings and cornices, while integrating modern upgrades such as new floor structures and updated services.
